Honduras Reserva Pacavita SHG EP

Our Honduras Pacavita coffee is a medium roast with a lot of personality. It offers deep flavor profiles that will most certainly keep your taste buds entertained. This speciality rated coffee has a natural nutty flavor, followed by a lingering sweetness of vanilla. If you are anything like us, you'll want to make sure you brew enough of the Honduras coffee to fill your cup a second or third time!

The coffee beans were grown and processed by Silvestre Vasquez and Joel Lopez, two knowledgeable and experienced farmers. Both share a commitment to continuously improve the quality of their coffee. Silvestre's farm, located on the high altitude Pico Congolon mountain range, is surrounded by the Reserva Biologica de Opalaca and Reserva Biologica Volcan Pacavita. Joel's farm, Los Lesquines, has been passed down for four generations and has been producing coffee since 1865. Spanning approximately 67 hectares, Los Lesquines grows a variety of beans, including Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai.

The western region of Honduras where this coffee comes from enjoys distinct rainy and dry seasons. This facilitates the growth of beautiful, ripe cherries that can be washed processed and laid out to dry in the sun after the harvest. The combination of microclimate, rich clay soil, and warm sunlight with careful washed processing composes a symphonic cup profile with bright acidity and notes of roasted almond, green apple, and vanilla.
