In 1968, ninety small-scale coffee producers from Naranjo established the Naranjo Coffee Growers and Multiple Services Cooperative, LLC, focusing on coffee processing, marketing, and member education in sustainable farming and agricultural support. Over the past five decades, the Cooperative has become a cornerstone of economic, social, and environmental sustainability for its members and the wider Naranjo community. It offers a range of services including supermarkets, agricultural product warehouses, coffee roasting, tours, and complimentary agricultural technical assistance. Naranjo’s 29 distinct coffee-growing zones benefit from optimal soil, altitude, rainfall, and temperature, resulting in a coffee distinguished by its delicate aroma, mild body, and balanced flavor profile.
